Chapter Officers
M. Denise Langford, MPM, PMP, President, Chattanooga PMI Chapter
Denise Langford, PMP, has a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Project Management and over 15 years of construction management/project management experience. Her background includes project planning, business development, contract negotiations and cost control related to environmental design and construction projects in the private and government sector. She was previously President Elect for the chapter in 2009 and served as the VP of Membership during 2007 & 2008. Denise has also served in various roles for the virtual Women in Project Management (WiPM) eStudy Program, where she served as a source of information on knowledge areas and assisted participants in preparing for the PMP exam. She is an adjunct professor of project management.
Carldine Pell, VP Communications, Chattanooga Chapter PMI
Carldine is an IT Project Manager at TVA. She is a Chattanooga native and a graduate of Chattanooga State Technical Community College and has a B.S. in Computer Science - Information Systems from U.T.C. She received the Student Government Association Outstanding Senior award for her major in 1998 and 1999. Carldine started with TVA as an intern in 2000, and has since worked as a business analyst, a Business Intelligence Tool Administrator, a program manager. Carldine also has seven years of experience in the healthcare industry, and was the Group Reservations Manager for Ruby Falls before joining TVA.Hilary Doncaster, MPM, PMP, VP of Membership, Chattanooga PMI Chapter
Hilary works in the Benefit Accounting area of Unum. She works on accounting as well as IT projects involving all of Unum's claim systems. She has a BS in nursing, and served 3 years of active duty in the USAF Nurses Corps. Prior to coming to Chattanooga in 1997, She worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. in Worcester, MA, and held positions as Utilization Reveiw Coordinator, and Senior Financial Anlayst for the Individual Disability Line. Before going to work for Paul Revere, Hilary worked as a Day Surgery nurse, Visiting Nurses Association nurse, and Nurse Reviewer for Massachusetts Peer Review Organization. Hilary also has earned a BSBA in Management Information Systems.
Shawn Romano, PMP, VP of Finance, Chattanooga PMI Chapter
Shawn Romano, PMP, graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in Management Information Systems and PMP certified since 2004. Her career focus over the past 16 years has been in Information Technology and currently working as an Enterprise Solutions Architect. Her employer for the past 10+ years, PSCU Financial Services, has allowed her to work as a remote employee from her home in Spencer, TN over the past few years.Shawn's responsibilities include participation and leadership in all technical aspects of assigned projects - analyzing requirements, architecting various aspects, implementation, process development and collaboration with Product Owners, Developers, Project Managers and other project stake holders for each of these areas of responsibility. Assigned projects typically include online internet solutions, with a primary focus on credit cards.

Chang Phuong, MS, PMP, Director of Web Communication, Chattanooga PMI Chapter
Chang Phuong received his BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Internet Application Programming. He was inducted in the Upsilon Pi Epsilon International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines Chattanooga Chapter in 2003. He has worked in the IT field since 1994 in Systems Integration; Network Administration; Software Development; Systems Design and Architecture with OOAD using UML; and Project Management. He joined the Chattanooga .Net User Group in 2003 and has been a member of the Chattanooga PMI chapter since 2006 and a PMP since 2008.During his professional career, he has designed systems and managed projects in the areas of Document Management; Litigation and Broad Discovery; Electronic Billing; Data Mining and Predictive Analytics; Controls and Compliance such as Sarbanes Oxley; IT Risk Management; Project Management and Documentation; Business Rules; and Security.
Chapter Trustees
Nancy Collins, PMP, Co-Founder, Trustee
Nancy Collins holds a masters degree in project management from George Washington University and has worked in PMO, Program, and Project Management at the Tennessee Valley Authority, Computer Associates, Unum, and Johnson and Johnson. Her current highest project budget was $30 million. In addition she developed and teaches senior-level project management training and volunteers as a speaker and trainer for the chapter.Nancy is a co-founder of the chapter and was responsible for its initial strategic plan.
Steve Corlew, MBA, PMP, ITIL Practicioner
Steve Corlew currently works as an Enterprise Architect at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. He holds a Bachelors degree in Management, Marketing and Management Information Systems from the University of North Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance/Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Steve also holds certifications in Data Processing, Process Engineering and ITIL. Steve has over 30 years experience in large enterprise Information Technology including operations, development, planning and architecture. His background includes banking, utilities and insurance.Steve earned his PMP in 2000 and was a co-founder of the Chattanooga chapter, serving as the first president.
