Call for Nominations

July 25, 2008

To: Chattanooga PMI Members

On behalf of the Election Committee, we are beginning the annual process of soliciting members to serve as volunteer PMI leaders and to continue making progress towards our organization's collective vision.

Chattanooga PMI's Vision

Each year, we nominate three officers for two year terms which coincide with the calendar year. This year, the positions for (2009 - 20010) are President-Elect, VP of Programs, VP of Membership, and VP of Communications. All of these positions are described in more detail in this letter.

Serving as an officer is one of the best ways to network, gain valuable experience, and play a significant role in your profession. You also earn PDUs, which are necessary to maintain your PMP certification by PMI. Officers, however, do not need to have PMP certification to serve.

If you are interested in accepting or nominating someone, or you are willing to support one of these positions by serving on a committee, please contact any of our election committee members by e-mail. The positions will be filled pursuant to our by-laws. The new officers are elected in October. At that time, they will be asked to begin working with the present incumbents to develop plans and budgets for next year. Transition to the new officers will be effective the first program meeting in January.

Thank you,
Sally Hawkins, PMP
President, Chattanooga PMI, Inc.
