If you are interesting in earning PDUs, please check this section often. We will post information about volunteer work and other events you can participate to earn PDUs

The following Board positions are still open:

VP, PROGRAMS (VPP) -2 YEAR TERM
The VPP shall be responsible for planning, budgeting, and coordinating all component meetings and events including speakers/presentations, facilities, logistics, food and beverage services, registration and attendance recording. VPP supports training, membership, publicity or other activities that may be directed by another officer or designee approved by the board.


VP OF PUBLICITY (VPPR) -2 YEAR TERM
The VPPR is responsible for promoting the chapter events, seeking corporate sponsorships, and developing growing interest of the chapter and the project management professional community.


We also have the following volunteer opportunity:

CORPORATE CONTACTS (CC)
Corporate Contacts help provide a communications link between Chattanooga PMI and local companies. Volunteers from these companies enable PMI to better support them in developing their project management maturity. Corporate Contacts are welcome to attend Board meetings as non-voting participants. They also earn PDUs for their participation.


DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
The Director of Programs works directly with the VP of Programs, and has the overall responsibility of development and distribution efforts of Cvent announcements for PMI-Chattanooga monthly chapter meetings, as well as special meetings, BOD meetings and symposiums as directed by the Board of Directors.

PMPs, Did you know you can earn PDUs for reading and discussing books relevant to project management? Below are the details from the PMI CCR Handbook in case you are interested.

PDUs for Self-Directed Learning Activities (Category 2-SDL)
Self-directed learning activities are individualized learning events involving personally conducted research or study. Learning may include informal activities such as discussions or coaching sessions with colleagues, coworkers, clients or consultants. It may include articles, books, instructional manuals, videos, CD-ROMs or other material resources.*

PDU Opportunities

*Qualifying self-directed learning activities must be relevant to project and/or program management, meet a specified purpose, and use knowledgeable resources. Use the Self-Directed Learning Activities Worksheet to determine PDUs for Category 2 - Self-Directed Learning. A maximum of 15 category 2-SDL PDUs will be credited during each cycle. One (1) full hour of self-directed learning earns 1 PDU.

Documentation required upon PMI audit/request: evidence supporting your reported learning project, including notes from and dates of discussion or reading. For more information please reference PMI's Handbook

The Continuing Certification Program for PMP and PgMP

You must accrue a minimum of 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) during each 3 year Continuing Certification Requirement CCR cycle and submit the Application for Certification Renewal by mail or renew online using the Certification System. You must also comply with the PMI Code of Professional Conduct to maintain certification status.
