Brenda Brazil has been responsible for the development, management, and ongoing evolution of Unum’s Continuous Improvement efforts, Brenda facilitated the expansion of Unum’s Great Ideas program, as well as the development, launch, and deployment of Unum’s PACE (Process And Customer Excellence) program. These 2 programs are key drivers in Unum’s overall efforts to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement across its Unum US, Unum UK, and Colonial Life operations.
Prior to joining Unum in 2005, Brenda was selected as one of Caterpillar Inc.’s first Black Belts and served a lead role in Caterpillar Financial's launch and integration of Six Sigma within the company’s culture. Combined with over 18 years experience in insurance and financial institutions in actuarial, project management, product development, and process improvement/quality, Brenda has a strong understanding of the critical success factors to launch and ultimately imbed continuous improvement principles in all levels of a company’s workforce.
