April 2024 Luncheon

Big Brothering to Mitigate Risk?

Just a few years ago, Fujitsu blasted onto the cybersecurity scene with a psychological profiling software to figure out which personnel were most likely to jeopardize corporate security during a cyber attack. In trucking, insurance companies are pushing for more and more driver-facing cameras to track behaviors and ensure drivers are on their best behavior. These “big brother” activities can mitigate a host of risks. But they also create a host of new risks that might not otherwise be considered. This presentation asks participants to consider the oversight activities that they are subjected to and that they may consider subjecting others to, and the potential influence of such moves.
